Brynne Lynch is an out going, loving second grade student. On January 18th Brynne fell severely ill at  school with seizers, and was rushed to Akron Children's Hospital. After several days of testing, results showed that Brynne was suffering from a rare disease called Autoimmune Encephalitis. Autoimmune Encephalitis is a type of brain inflammation where the body's immune system attacks healthy cells and tissues in the brain.
Brynne spent two and a half weeks in the ICU and a total of 42 days at Children's Hospital. She was released to go home, but has to continue extensive rigorous outpatient rehabilitation. Since the start of Brynne's illness, her mother, Ann, has been by her side and has not been able to return to work. The financial burden this has placed on the Lynch family is astronomical as medical bills have begun to mount. On March 12th they learned that Brynne was going to have another round of treatments to fight the Autoimmune Encephalitis. This round is going to be a lot harder on Brynne. Since it is typically used for cancer treatments. It is also a very expensive treatment, but is needed to help Brynne fight this disease.
All profits from this raffle will be given directly to the Lynch family to help with the medical bills.

Update on Brynne Day 53

Today was a hard day. We had our family meeting with the day rehab team and Brynne had an appointment with the neurology team.

The rehab team still is in shock at how well physically Brynne is doing from a PT stand point. As far as a OT and Speech standpoint she is still having struggles to the point our next step is a all day cognitive test from a Neuro Psycologist. They are already seeing delays but this will give us a big picture of things. We do not have a date yet as to when that will happen but suppose to find out by end of this week.
As far as our Neurologist team we did not get the best of news. Based on how Brynnes brain is healing and some additional tests done the doctor feels we need to do another treatment course for the autoimmune encephalitis. This course is a infusion course. With this type of treatment they use it is typically used on cancer patients so it has some pretty negative side effects. But what this drug will do is go after her B cells in her body which is what is attacking her brain. This is a pretty expensive test so we are trying to get insurance to approve FAST and we all remember how helpful they were in the first place.
Brynne is so upset she is just struggling with why does she have to be poked again. She is done being a pin cushion. She said she misses her friends so bad. Trying to get her back to a positive attitude. Thank you all for the continued support.
