The Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) is located in Hood River, Oregon and has one of the largest collections of still-flying antique aeroplanes and still-driving antique automobiles in the country. WAAAM collects, restores, preserves, and exhibits airplanes from the Dawn of Flight through the Golden Age of Flight and civilian and military automobiles of the Vintage and Classic Eras of the 20th century. As a living museum, WAAAM maintain the collection in operating condition and, from time to time, demonstrate its operation. Visitors can “step back in time” to learn and to enjoy the history and technology of transportation. To help continue to successfully serve the Hood River community, WAAAM is fundraising to expand the museum’s facility to further its existing educational opportunities and become an even better asset to the region.
