Let me tell you a little bit about who we are and what we are trying to accomplish. We are the High Voltage GTCC Student Chapter of the American Welding Society in the Carolina Section.
The American Welding Society was formed in 1919 to advance the science, technology and application of welding. There are over 49,000 members and 170 Sections and Divisions throughout the Untied States and the world. The Society is recognized as the leading technical organization in the United States devoted to the advancement and interests of welding, joining, and cutting processes. AWS provides a means for continuing education in welding. It conducts education seminars and conferences, and offers home study courses.
As members of the student chapter we are trying to raise funds to be able to attend various seminars and conferences. Being able to go to these activities will broaden our knowledge and provide an unprecedented opportunity for networking amongst the welding community.
The Drawing will take place at the GTCC Center for Manufacturing and Transportation Building on May 2, 2019 at 3:30pm. Raffle ticket sales will be closed at 2pm on May 2 2019. There will be up to 10 winners and you may be eligible to win multiple prizes. Prizes will be raffled off with the lowest valued items going to the first names drawn and ending with the grand prize being given to the 10th name drawn. You do not have to be present to win or receive your prize. All contestants will be notified of the winners and shipping will be free.
