CULTURAL ALLIANCE OF WESTERN CONNECTICUT ~ Living Creatively. Energizing the Economy

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
"The Arts is as important as highways and hospitals"  Bill T. Jones, Choreographer

Every ticket you purchase helps to empower Greater Danbury through the arts!

Contribute to the Quality of Life in Greater Danbury
The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is a unique nonprofit organization. We act as a Chamber of Commerce, but for creative communities, working hard on behalf of local creative entrepreneurs and art-and-cultural organizations. We are the “go-to” arts organization for the Department of Economic and Community Development in Western Connecticut; we also provide a path for local business leaders to gain access to the creative community and advocate to ensure that the arts are a priority for funding and economic development. Your investment in the Cultural Alliance allows us to continue to leverage the arts to promote economic development in Western Connecticut, bolstering the quality of life in Greater Danbury.

Why contribute?
The arts support the economy while reminding us of our humanity. Regardless of an individual’s direct engagement with arts and culture, investing in them invigorates the entire community with new energy. Rather than a fringe aspect of the community that speaks to only a niche few, the arts are an economic powerhouse that sustains the community at a level to be enjoyed by all.

What’s next?
We’re proud of our accomplishments, but we can do more. Our contributions to the community aren’t restricted to simply supporting creative entrepreneurs; we’re looking to position arts and culture at the forefront of Greater Danbury. Through greater engagement with local business leaders, we can help businesses to leverage the arts community, promote the issues that they care about, and meet their bottom line. In providing resources to schools in the region, we can expand the future of arts education. Finally, in conducting research to better understand the arts’ impact, we can continue to refine how we may best serve our economy and quality of life.

Our team is working hard to make these goals a reality, but no organization is immune to the limitations of insufficient funding.  The Cultural Alliance's goal is to raise $15,000.  In order to achieve this goal, we are holding this 50/50 raffle. The prize is 50% of the pot. No more than 600 tickets will be sold. The winner will be announced on August 9, 2019 at Gallery 287, 287 Main Street, Danbury 5:00 pm.  Winners need not be present.  Please help us achieve our goal to benefit the arts.

If the future of our region is as important to you as it is to us, please contribute to our efforts today!
*Please Note: applicable fees to run the raffle will be deducted before splitting the pot
