Zinky's Quilts and Crafts is proud to provide these quilts to support the work of Sarah's Bag Ladies (SBL). Started in 2017, SBL is comprised largely of volunteers. Click HERE to connect with them on Facebook. These monthly quilt raffles help to supplement their work with college students, volunteers and the homeless in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
COVID 19 CHANGES IN SERVICE: During this time, Sarah's Bag Ladies has pivoted their work from gathering together to process used grocery bags into mats for the homeless to sewing masks for the Salvation Army healthcare workers in Fort Worth and Arlington.
The monies raised from these raffles works to support the purchasing and distribution of fabric and supplies to make this process happen. The folks in Sarah's Bag Ladies Mask Makers group has provided more than 350 masks to the The Salvation Army Fort Worth front-line healthcare workers who are delivering services to the most vulnerable of our community in the middle of this pandemic. They are helping the homeless, battered women, human trafficking survivors, veterans and more.
