The Alaskan Bowhunter's Association is happy to announce our second ever hunt raffle. This time, it will be for a grizzly bear archery hunt in the Brooks Range with Stan Parkerson's crew at Denali Hunts. Winner will have the choice of a Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 hunt. All guide fees will be covered. Hunter will be responsible for tags, licenses, travel costs, and tips if inclined to do so. Only 300 tickets will be sold for $100 each so don't dwell on it too long, buy early and buy often! Alaskan Bowhunter's Association has one mission, to foster and perpetuate fair chase hunting with a bow and arrow. Fundraisers such as these allow us to do exactly that. The proceeds from this raffle will help us grow as an organization, fund NASP kits for schools across the state, be donated to smaller local archery clubs for target maintenance and annual events, as well as help sponsor the state bowhunter education program.
SPRING GRIZZLY HUNTS
If you’d like to try your hand at ‘spot and stalk,’ grizzly hunting, join one of our spring expeditions. We hunt the south side of the Central Brooks Range. We access the hunting grounds, bordered by the Gates of the Arctic and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, using a pick-up truck, and camp in a 5th-wheel trailer. These hunts occur when we experience 24 hours of sunlight.
FALL INTERIOR GRIZZLY OVER SALMON
You can hunt from the comfort and safety of a 6-foot by 12-foot blind during our fall Interior grizzly hunts. Shots are less than 30 yards away; this is the closest thing to a ‘for sure’ grizzly hunt in the Alaskan interior. If you don’t bag a grizzly during your five-day expedition, you can come back for another five days and just pay the cost of the trophy fee!
