2020 was a difficult year for most of us including the Pope & Young Club. Cancelling the Virginia Convention was a hit that financially limited our ability to carry out some of our most important initiatives. We have been able to narrow the gap but still have a ways to go.
Our thanks go out to the many members that have stepped up with additional donations, some large and some small, but all vitally important during this tough time.
One of our long time members, Jon Fossel - Founder of the Jack Creek Preserve, has volunteered to step up with an incredible once in a lifetime donation. He is allowing us to raffle an amazing hunt package on the Jack Creek Preserve, unlike any we have had before. The Preserve has not offered it before!
The prize for the winner includes:
A full week archery elk and mule deer hunt on the Preserve during Jon’s personal hunting week in early September 2021 or 2022.
The winner will be picked up and returned to the Bozeman, MT airport by a Board or staff member. You may drive to the Preserve in Ennis, MT if you would prefer.
You and a non-hunting companion will stay in Jon’s personal cabin right in the middle of elk country. You can hear elk bugling right from the front porch!
The Preserve will provide the food and drinks! You will only need to bring a sleeping bag and your hunting gear.
You will be personally guided by Jon himself!
The Jack Creek Preserve is known for its huge elk. The average P&Y score over the last ten years is over 330”. In the last few years, several elk have been taken over 370”P&Y. There are some big mule deer as well. Jon took one a few years ago that scored 208”P&Y!

The Pope & Young Club is a 501 c3 Non-Profit organization working to protect and defend wildlife and bowhunting across North America. You may be familiar with our records program, but we are far more than just the keeper of the records. The P&Y Club's Conservation, Education & Outreach Program, which includes wildlife research, education, pro-bowhunting activities, partnerships, wildlife conservation projects, and youth programs, rely on hunt drawings like this to raise funds to further our mission.
