My husband and I are both SB locals, born, raised + lived here for 30+ years. About 10 years ago my husband started a youth baseball league (501c3), for under privileged kids. He has built his league up, and they now hold a non profit 501c3 number, and have been able to raise enough money over the years to keep the team going.
This team has been together for almost 3 years. They have grown tremendously, and become an amazing baseball team. The coaches would love to give them a chance to make it to a the national tournament in Reno at the end of June. Because the coaches and managers are all volunteers, our funds are limited. We are turning to the tight-nit community of Santa Barbara to help make this dream come true for our boys.
