This raffle is to help with funeral expenses for my brother Francisco DeLeon. He was born 10/10/1995. His mother left him in our mom's care when he was about 3. He is actually my cousin, but since we were all so young and raised together, he became our brother. He was always a cheerful guy to be around. He always wanted to be everyone's friend and treated you as a friend. Eventually, we all grew up and went our separate ways. Either school or a family. He stayed behind with our parents. We would all hang out and visit whenever we could, but eventually that wasn't enough. He lost a few jobs and his long term girlfriend left him. It seemed to him that nothing was going to make it better.

He started to grow paranoid and starting hallucinating as well. One day decided to attempt suicide via car accident. He was thankfully saved at that time. He was flown out and he made it through. He was placed under strict 24 hour surveillance and sent to be evaluated psychologically. He had sessions with a psychiatrist for a while as he was going through rehab. After a while he was deemed mentally stable and let go.

He was growing back into his life after his physical rehab. It seemed he was getting a lot better. Unfortunately, a week ago he started hearing voices again and grew paranoid once more. To try and get away from it he decided to take a trip to his mother who was in contact with once again. Our mom and him made the plans, but it seemed he had other plans in mind. He went and purchased a shotgun at a local sporting goods store. He was approved and he went to pick up the shotgun and hid it at a very close locale. He went to our mom and confirmed they were going out to visit his mom, helped out around the house with some chores, and after that he walked out and killed himself on June 8th, 2019.

This has been a tremendous shock to our family and friends. It seemed he was getting better, but it just looks like that wasn't the case. Please, even if you don't win think about the help you're giving. Thank you
