As many of you know, my wife and I are the parents of two Type 1 diabetic children, Jackson (12) and Madelyn (8). Diagnosed at 4 and 3 years old, they will live with this disease until a cure is found. For the past 7 years, our family and close friends ride as The Wonder Walls in the Tour de Cure, a cycling event that raises money for diabetic research, as well as providing for Camp Victory at the Louisiana Lion's Camp. This camp with the help of the Tour de Cure, the American Diabetes Association and Lion's Club is made free to all diabetic children. In the picture of Jackson below, on the first Thanksgiving after diabetes camp our sticker says "I am thankful for:" Jackson didn't hesitate to say "Diabetes Camp." Believe me, this camp changes these kid's DNA. It changes lives for the better. Below is a YouTube link about the camp. My wife, Jackson and I are interviewed in the opening scene. There is also a link to our team Tour de Cure page if you are more interested in our story.
