We’re a small independently owned and ran group called Pokeys ! We believe that it’s the small things the extra touch that really can stand out in life to anyone that may have been missing out on it for awhile , we our hosting a raffle that raises money to provide a little extra love comfort and food of course to the local homeless population . Here in Denver , our last raffle raised enough money to provide 100s of homeless and shelters also low income families Holiday boxes filled with frosted holiday cookies homemade cakes and cupcakes , hot coco , , candy canes , juice bottles, gloves and socks and Christmas cards ! I was actually overwhelmed with the reactions from all who were just so happy to see a frosted cookie , some haven’t had one in years which reminds me of how a simple holiday tradition as small as a cookie that we all take for granted daily meant so much to someone else ! This year we’re aiming for the 4th of July ! ! Hot dogs and chips ,soda , assorted candy and sunblock and refillable bottles of water ! Oh and of course SPARKLERS for all!
