Oregon Rainbow, a part of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, is a service and leadership organization for girls aged 6-20. Our lessons encourage members to be strong in spirit and kind in heart, respectful toward nature and giving toward all humanity.

Rainbow Girls on the local and state level chose a charity to support during each year. Girls and adults provide service and hold fundraisers to raise money for that charity. They raise money through a wide variety of activities. At the conclusion of the local assembly or state assembly terms, the charity is presented a check for those funds raised, as well as a report on the number of service hours given.

Each year,  hundreds of hours of community service are provided to organizations such as Oregon Food Bank, Portland Shriners Hospital, Special Olympics, Susan B Komen Foundation, as well as many hours provided to our Statewide Service Projects.

This year, we are raising funds for the Portland Shriners Hospital Spine Unit - MAGEC Growing Rods program for kids with scoliosis and other spinal deformities. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for this MAGEC program (Magnetic Expansion Control System). This is a new surgical method of treatment which allows for children to continue to grow while minimizing the progression of scoliosis. Kids experience less surgeries, less opportunities for infection, ability to still grow while stabilizing the spine, and less pain.

The Prize

  • Oregon Rainbow's "Ties that Bind" Quilt

Our Grand Worthy Advisor, Becca Mobley's "Ties that Bind" quilt is made up of ties donated from all over the state of Oregon from Master Masons and their families. We have ties on this quilt from the 2019-2020 Masonic family leaders from almost every appendant body. This "Ties that Bind" quilt has approx 300 ties making up this full/queen sized quilt. Many of the Masonic Families emblems are embroidered on the ties creating the squares that frame the wedges of ties made by our current State Mother Advisor, Mrs. Anjee Thompson.

Tickets are 12 tickets/$10, 25 tickets/$20, and so on for online purchases. We do have in-person tickets as well if you catch us at an Oregon Masonic event (1 for $1, 6 for $5 and same as online from there).
