It’s been over a year and Ryan is walking and recently started eating ‘real’ food. He needs to re-learn how to talk, drink and conduct basic life-habits. He has a long journey to recovery but will recover with the necessary therapies to re-train his brain.
The insurance for TBIs is largely insufficient. Ryan should still be in a facility receiving around-the-clock care and therapy. Instead, Ryan is home and the family is covering therapy and expenses up to $10K/month.
