Flight Club 502 is a non-profit 501(c)(3), based out of Bowman Field in Louisville, KY. We are dedicated to teaching young students about leadership, teamwork, and decision making through aviation. 

 

A small group of highschool students created FC 502 in 2015, with the hopes to inspire others to become successful while using aviation and STEM subjects as a springboard for success. 

With over 170 members, an executive council made up of 13 - 21 year olds, and an adult advisory.

Our successes: 33 club members have soloed, 12 have earned Private Pilot Licenses, 3 have earned Instrument Ratings and one has earned a Commercial Pilot License. We built a Vans RV-12 with the help of a senior UPS aircraft maintenance technician.
