THE MOVEMENT
We are rebuilding the coffee industry in Puerto Rico by bridging the gap between the homeland and the millions of Puerto Ricans around the world. Coffee is one of the symbols of power we once had as a people. The island will get it back and sustain itself once again, through the alliances formed with the generations who come from displaced Puerto Ricans, and those who want to help.

This fundraiser breaks down barriers within many cultures and is only the beginning for the movement. You don’t have to drink coffee to be part of making Puerto Rico strong again. And you don't have to be Puerto Rican to participate. All those who support this movement are a direct island changer and can make a great impact in the trajectory of our homeland. We do this for Puerto Rico.

A NUYORICAN COFFEE FARMER

I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York in the 80’s, exposed to Hip-Hop, with a touch of boom bap, salsa and an affinity towards artistic expression.  After Hurricane Maria hit the island, my life and my outlook on it was transformed over night. For the first time, I was faced with indignation towards how my people were treated and perceived. I felt strongly that I needed to do something, anything, at least something more than what I was doing at the time. I had a comfortable and secure life with my family, but I was willing to step outside my comfort zone.

And so began the process of my evolution, the return to myself, and inevitable return to the motherland. There is a work that must be done here, a difficult task ahead, a calling that I do not take lightly. I believe that a handful of people with vision can make a difference if we stand together.

We aren’t a coffee brand. We are a coffee farm in Puerto Rico that has begun a movement that was born out of struggle. We don’t just grow coffee, we’re offering you a special connection to our farm that has never been offered before. We are just like you. This coffee is about everything you’ve been through, and the victory you felt when you overcame that struggle.

I designed these  sneakers with hope for a better future for Puerto Rico. It would be an honor if you participated.
