The Benefits and Effects of Physical Activity and Fitness on healthy individuals are numerous. The benefits of physical activity and fitness on someone fighting breast or prostate cancer can mean life or death.
Prue, Cornie found  "superior levels of exercise following a cancer diagnosis were associated with a 28%–44% reduced risk of cancer-specific mortality, a 21%–35% lower risk of cancer recurrence, and a 25%–48% decreased risk of all-cause mortality".

Being a two year survivor of Stage 3, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and an Exercise professional I personally can attest to the benefits of participating in physical activity prior to and during my cancer treatment. I also saw the need for more fitness and wellness opportunities for those battling cancer.
 
The mission of Fitness Angels 501c3 non-profit is to provide fitness and wellness activities and events to uplift and enhance quality of life of breast and prostate cancer patients and/or in some cases the caregiver.
 We provide Yoga, Meditation, Breast/Prostate Cancer Recovery and Post-operative Group Fitness classes, Personal training, Massage therapy, Mental Health counseling and educational events to help improve quality of life by focusing on providing these services by qualified professionals in a safe and loving environment conducive to healing the mind body and spirit.
