FB_IMG_1610209937440.jpg 123.12 KB2021 will be our teams 5th 26.2 Mile Tough Ruck. We intend on crushing last years’ finish times and quadrupling the financial contributions. We can handle the physical aspect but could use a little help with the fundraising portion. This year’s team goal is to raise $20,000 for the Military Friends Foundation and I’m hoping that together we can partner together to exceed this goal.
What is the cause? The Military Friends foundation is an incredible 501c3 tax deductible Veterans charity that provides a helping hand to Guardsman and Reservist facing hardships and also provides financial aid to Massachusetts families who have lost a family member while serving on active duty. The foundation also presents educational scholarships to children of Guard or Reserve Veterans and Gold Star Families.
Why do we do it? Partially because we believe in the power of charity at the local level and we are proud of the aid that donations in our names has provided. Mainly we complete the Tough Ruck because there have been much greater men and women then us that are no longer here to put boots to pavement. These were service members that truly knew the meaning of personal sacrifice and suffering, We wish to remember them.
