Malo Uganda is raising funds to support the monthly salary of Dr. Ronald who is employed full-time at the Alanyi Health Centre. The Alanyi Health Centre was built entirely by Sr. Carole MacKenthun (St. Catharine/St. Margaret Parish & School) through Mission of Mercy. The house where Dr. resides was built by our friends at Mothers on a Mission (a closed 501c3 that used to operate out of Westfield, NJ). 
 
 Having a full-time Doctor on board has elevated the status of the clinic and the patients continue to increase in number. I spoke to Dr. Ronald a few days ago after he completed surgery on a strangulated hernia. He told me if I was in the medical field that I would think it was interesting. I said, probably not but I'm glad he is there to perform surgeries like this! If it were not for his full-time post, this patient would have had to take a 45 minute to 1.5-hour ride on a boda (motorcycle) to the hospital in Lira on a very bumpy and sometimes impossible road to pass. 
 
Dr's salary is 2,500,000 UGX - roughly $750 per month.
