For so many of us, it has taken years to build a library of books on Buster Keaton and silent film. We rummaged through used books stores, battled on eBay, overpaid on Amazon, and maybe (once or twice) “borrowed” a friend's book and just seem to have forgotten to return it. You? You don’t have to do any of that.

You just need to win this Raffle.

A generous donor has given us 26 books, including 7 on Keaton, and others on Harold Lloyd, Laurel and Hardy, Lon Chaney, and Mary Pickford. There is also Kevin Brownlow’s classic The Parade’s Gone By and Walter Kerr’s required reading, The Silent Clowns. Your Keaton collection includes his autobiography, My Wonderful World of Slapstick, Gabriela Oldham’s unparalleled look at the short films, Keaton’s Silent Shorts, our own David Macleod’s look at Keaton’s sound pictures, The Sound of Buster Keaton, and by far the best-looking book on anyone’s coffee table, Eleanor Keaton and Jeffery Vance’s Buster Keaton Remembered. You’ll also take home two VHS tapes, which can be watched for years to come and/or used to prop open a window.

The International Buster Keaton Society is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all proceeds from this Raffle to go support our activities: collecting and preserving rare Keaton materials, conducting research, maintaining the Keaton Plaque in Hollywood, hosting an annual convention, maintaining our online presence, publishing the Keaton Chronicle, awarding the annual Keaton Scholar Grant, and Damfino what else!
