The Pork Pie Scholarship Raffle

We’re beside ourselves to announce the first Damfinos raffle of the year! With a range of exciting prizes to be won, we’re particularly grateful to the family of Bob Wiemann, a life-long Keaton fan who sadly passed away last year.  Roy, his brother, felt Bob would be happy to support the society with a generous donation; his personal Keaton and silent era library plus DVD collection.  It is absolutely full of treasures that are near impossible to find now, including “The Look Of Buster Keaton” and Oliver Lindsey Scott’s, “The Little Iron Man”.  I’m sure there are plenty of you that would appreciate taking on Bob’s haul and we want to ensure they end up in a deserving home.

We also have another prize, a stunning signed print by artist Leah Devora at Leahdevora.com so, there’s more than one chance to win.

Tickets are $5 each, or 5 for $20 & all profits are being put towards the Pork Pie Scholar Grant in Bob’s name.  The Grant has supported a variety of wonderful projects relating to Buster Keaton — his life, his films or his influence - since its inception in 2008. Projects can take nearly any form — a film, a book, a poem, a musical score, photography, painting, film preservation or restoration.  

Raffle is open April 1st through the 30th.  Winners will be announced May 2nd.
