FIP is an ugly disease. Instead of standing still and watching them die, we have decided to fight for our Huxley.
We are more than 70 days into his treatments. It is a new trial medication out there that has been working astoundingly to save these guys lives, and it costs about $100 a day. After his bloodwork this week, it showed no improvement, but no decline either. It was recommended to increase his dosage and do a fluid analysis.
I am hoping this is the Cure that we all have been hoping for in the rescue community. One of the major things in saving cats with FIP is to start treatment ASAP, as FIP can, and will quickly claim their life.
