Shannon Donavan is a great friend of mine whose had a hell of a time since having a pancreas transplant back in April 2019, and her story has been wild to say the very least. It has a lot of twists and turns that I don’t think I could do justice trying to describe, but everything that could go sideways, did. It capped off on New Year’s Eve when she was released from her job due to having to miss so much time for every complication coming from her transplant, and left her high and dry without the insurance coverage.
As you can imagine, the hospital bills stacked up and the medication she needs to survive is costly. While she’s back to getting back on her feet, it’s a big hill to climb. An amazing person like her shouldn’t have to live under this pressure, especially when she’s gone through as much as she has.
