It's that time of year again......Big Wood School's Annual Fundraising Raffle. In the past, we have raised money for our Security and Front Entrance Remodel, our Art Room Renovation, our Playground Upgrades, our Extraordinary Extracurriculars, our Scholarship Fund, our COVID Relief Effort and many other awesome improvements that we have made over the years. And this year we have set our sights even HIGHER!
This Winter, we attempted a fundraiser to purchase and install TWO TOUCHLESS WATER BOTTLE FILLING STATIONS. We DID IT and reached our goal! But unfortunately, the company we were working with was unable to produce the product and all money had to be refunded. That goal was $5000, but after cancelling all orders, we were left $4420 short. So, back to the raffle board on that one.
This Spring, our primary objective for this raffle fundraising effort is the major undertaking of purchasing and installing ALL NEW HIGH QUALITY VINYL WOOD FLOORING AND CARPETING THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL!! We utilize this building to its fullest every day, year-round, and we wouldn't have it any other way! That being said, the wear and tear on our school is really beginning to show, so a major overhaul is now in order! The new flooring and carpeting that has been selected is the most durable and resilient option out there. It is easy to clean, waterproof, and will stand the test of time. But, a project of this magnitude comes with a hefty price tag. We will need to raise $95,000 to complete this endeavor!
Our goal is to raise the $4420 needed for the water stations and $15,000 to go towards the flooring project. Help us to stop the spread of germs while keeping our kids well hydrated and to make this massive improvement to our facility that will last for years to come!
