With the impact of COVID-19 the Royal Flying Doctor Service is, sensibly, preparing for the worst-case scenario to keep their patients, nurses, doctors, pilots and other staff safe. Only with your help will the RFDS be sure that their teams have the resources they need to continue to safely deliver vital healthcare to isolated and vulnerable families across regional, rural and remote Australia.
The COVID-19 pandemic is extremely tough on rural communities that have already been ravaged by drought, or bushfires, or flooding. Or sometimes all three. Small country towns do not have ICU beds, and they have no ventilators. Without being transferred to major hospitals who are equipped for critical COVID-19 patients, outback families and communities are at serious risk.
The 2020 annual #rfdstrek has been postponed, and it's normal $1.5 million donation for the Royal Flying Doctor is at risk - this is why we need your help. Please buy some raffle tickets and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to buy some tickets also.
