During COVID-19, as most Australians focus on staying safe, many outback families are feeling more isolated than ever, fearing they may be forgotten, with their lives at risk during this pandemic.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service are as prepared and ready as ever to serve rural communities, but they can only be there at life-threatening moments with the support of events such as Outback Car Trek, the Bright Smiles Charity Ride or the Drive 4x4 The Doc, and the support of generous people like you.
Our rally events might be postponed and we might currently be stuck at home, but outback families still need your help. All healthcare services remain on high alert to fight the pandemic, as well as to provide basic medical assistance. It is possible that COVID-19 cases will surge again as restrictions are eased and we start the cold winter months, stretching RFDS resources even further.
And families living in rural, regional and remote Australia continue to rely on the Royal Flying Doctor Service to save lives in an emergency. We must be prepared for the worst.
