As some of you know, one of our earliest park members, Gene Hager took a nasty fall earlier this year (we’re not quite buying that his wife Glennis knocked him over!). Gene is doing much better and recovering and our community came together to help build a ramp for him! Over two weekends, a number of volunteers, including members, past and present, and their friends purchased materials, built the ramp and put down some pavers to make it a little easier for him to get in and out of his rig. We just want to take this time to thank all those who gave their time, energy and love for a man who has always gone above and beyond in offering a helping hand in our community and helping maintain our beautiful Park!
Enter to Win! To help us offset the cost of materials purchased to build the deck for Gene, we are going to raffle off a painted barn quilt, specially designed by Margie Connelly. The two, beautiful 3’ x 3’ quilt options have been posted in the Park Pavilion for all to see! Any excess raffle earnings will be donated to the ALS Association, GA Chapter.
Drawing will take place on July 4th weekend. Thank you for your support!
