ArtPop Street Gallery

Since 2014 ArtPop Street Gallery has promoted over 400 local artists in 15 cities and 12 states.  
Art + Public Outdoor Project = ArtPop Street Gallery 
We make local artists household names in their own communities and create city-sized street galleries through advertising space like billboards, newsstands, airports and more. 
While our mission is to promote local artists by featuring their art for an entire year on available media space, we also make art accessible to everyone in the communities we serve. 
Everyone deserves access to art. 
In addition to featuring artists on media space, we provide a 2 day business class to all of our artists, to teach them how to live sustainable lives as artists.  
We réserve one spot in each of our cities to a Sr. High student artist in transition to study the arts in college and provide a scholarship.

The Prize

    Breakthrough is a piece I did of the St John's River, Florida at sunrise when the sun is coming up through the cypress trees. The piece is 36h x 30w acrylic on canvas, varnished and mounted in a black hardwood floater frame. The gallery retail price for this piece is $2800. Shine a light on it at night and it will glow out any room that is why I had this in my kitchen for several years. I thought it would be a great donation for Art Pop Street Gallery, but with Covid we cannot have the public fundraisers we had in the past. So we want to auction my piece off to help them help other artists like myself that have experienced our work along the interstate highway on a billboard or in town on a bus or building. This helps artists create jobs for themselves as artists. Instead of looking at Cheesburgers and Car Insurance ads we can see and enjoy real art big time and discover some fantastic artists to follow and collect. This is one of the most innovative and sustainable models for the rest of the country in promoting art to the public to enjoy and helping artists create their own jobs. I am proud to be a part of it and will always support it. I am not a billboard fan, but I am an artist and I love seeing public art wherever I go. It gives me comfort to know my fellow man is appreciating the inspiration and love we have to offer them.
