Each summer, campers in our SummerStage and Young Producers camps and their families help the STARS “booster” organization (Sooner Theatre Active Relative Support) raise money to help fund items that will benefit the performers and students of The Studio of The Sooner Theatre. This year the money raised will help purchase staging and sound equipment, including microphones and transmitters that we are required to phase out due to a change in the FCC frequencies available to theaters for use with wireless microphones! For each production we do, we use up to 21 microphones and transmitters, each costing $1500 per microphone and transmitter. We want to be able to replace all 21 microphones and transmitters so that we can hear as many of our kiddos onstage as possible when they perform.
