The West Coast District Dental Association's Fundraiser page! Join in the fun by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win some
fantastic prizes! All proceeds go to the WCDDA Fund, which supports local Access to Care programs, student aid scholarships, hurricane and disaster relief to its members, as well as public education.
The mission of our Fund is to generate and direct resources for charitable and educational oral health programs for the people of the West Coast District. Since its inception in 2001, the WCDDA Fund grows with support from our amazing members and their families!
The Fund has contributed over $49,000 in scholarships, dental clinic donations, dental hygiene products for "Back to School" events, women's shelters, and grants to various organizations. Our most recent contributions include:
- $900 in dental assisting, dental hygiene scholarships and table clinic awards
- $1,000 contribution was granted for More Health Inc., which provides health education lessons to students at no charge to the school districts
- $416 for Community Food Pantry's "Bags of Hope for the Homeless"

The raffle drawing will take place virtually on
Saturday, August 8th at 12:00pm. Winners will be emailed a "Congrats! You've Won" notice. After you register and pay for the raffle item(s), you will receive a confirmation email with your unique raffle item numbers along with instructions on how to claim your prize(s).
** When making a payment, you must include which items you are entering for, along with how many tickets you want entered for that prize.
For example, "10 tickets in Raffle 1", "8 tickets in Raffle 9", "15 tickets in Raffle 4 and 10 tickets in Raffle 11", "All tickets distributed evenly among all raffle items", etc.

History
Henry Bradley Plant (1819-1899), the acclaimed "King of Florida", was founder of the Plant System of railroads, steamships and hotels. After the Civil War, Plant began buying small bankrupt railroad companies and connected rail lines between Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida. In addition to the railroads, his transportation empire included steamship service from Nova Scotia to Cuba, and a chain of 8 Florida hotels. It was through the efforts of Henry Plant that Florida's West Coast began to grow and thrive as an important shipping port, commercial hub and tourist destination.

- Spanish-American War and It's Tampa Collection - Tampa and Tampa Bay played an important role in the war

- The Grand Hallway - The collection reflects the lifestyle of the late Victorian period
- Writing and Reading Room - The room looks just as it did in 1898 when Lt. Col. Theodore Roosevelt, Clara Barton and others stayed here

All contributions go directly to the WCDDA Fund with the exception of 5% designated to the Florida Dental Health Foundation to cover administrative costs.
