Dale Mehne has been a life long resident of Jefferson Township for the past 42 years. Dale has served our community as a member of the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Company. Dale could be seen at Smokin Joe’s during hunting season and on his quad at Lost Trails in the summer. Dale has worked at Simplex Homes in Scranton, PA since 1996. Dale is an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting and his hunting dog Casey.
Dale was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer in March of this year. After having an emergent tracheotomy, Dale has undergone chemotherapy and radiation in an attempt to eradicate the tumor. He is doing well to date.
In an effort to assist Dale with medical expenses friends have organized a tricky tray fundraiser for his benefit.
Due to the COVID restrictions currently in place we have decided to move the tricky tray to this online platform so we may adhere to social distancing requirements currently in place. Prizes are listed below - prizes are either one ticket per entry or five tickets per entry (all prizes are marked). A spaghetti dinner will also be held on Saturday from 3 pm - 7 pm at the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Company located at 405 Cortez Rd Jefferson Township PA 18436. Tickets for the Spaghetti Dinner are $10 for adults and $7 for children under 10 years of age. Tricky Tray tickets may be purchased in person at the dinner under the pavilion.
