CAWV is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing adaptive outdoor sports and recreation opportunities.

CAWV has been providing adaptive sports opportunities to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities since 1996. CAWV primarily provides equipment and instruction for adaptive alpine skiing and snowboarding; however, we also provide equipment and support for handcycling, adaptive bicycling, and other outdoor opportunities.  With the popularity of mountain biking in the Snowshoe area, the Snowshoe Bike Park hosting the 2019 UCI World Cup and the Snowshoe Highlands being officially recognized last August by the  International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) as West Virginia’s first designated IMBA Ride Center (one of only 40 in the world), we are working toward implementing a more formal adaptive mountain bike program. Your raffle ticket purchase will help us to raise funds for much needed equipment to get this program going!
