Friends of the Arts (FOA) is a unique parent and staff organization at Mount Greylock Regional High School (MGRHS) whose mission is to support and promote arts education. FOA supports the visual and performing arts in multiple ways:
  • Shakespeare & Company residencyFOA partially funds this annual residency of Shakespeare and Company's Fall Festival of Shakespeare available to all Mount Greylock students.  This language-based exploration of a Shakespeare play culminates in a full-scale production performed on the Shakespeare & Company main stage for the public -- a life-affirming and life-changing experience for our students.
  • Spring Drama Workshop:  This initiative for 7-8th graders gives middle schoolers ownership over the creative process while building skills, confidence and community.
  • Supporting Mount Greylock Arts events:  FOA supports all productions, special arts events and concerts at the school by coordinating any necessary meals, assisting with technical or publicity needs.  We also coordinate the annual Talent Show, Greylock Plays at Night!
  • Additional Materials Needs:  FOA provides micro-grants to aid in the planning of field trips and purchasing of special supplies for art, music, and english classes.
  • Advocating for the Arts:  The FOA believes in and supports arts in education in all its forms.  During the current construction at MG, we are supporting the continued production and attendance at all events- no matter where they need to be located!
All of these efforts are supported through independent fund raising campaigns like this raffle.

Raffle tickets can be purchased through this website or in person at the  MGRHS student performances of Hamlet.  Performances will be staged at Williamstown Elementary School at 7 p.m. on both Friday, November 4, and Saturday, November 5.  Tickets will also be sold at the Talent Show scheduled for Friday, December 2 (location TBA).  Winners will be notified on Saturday, December 3!

Please help the Friends of the Arts (FOA) raise needed funds for supporting the arts at Mount Greylock Regional HS!
