High Desert Section NCNW is dedicated to uplifting women, especially those of African American decent, their families and their communities.  Our section was chartered September 23, 1982 to uphold the legacy of Mary McCleod Bethune.  This is our 38th year in service.  We do an annual Thanksgiving Basket give away.  We also have our Handbags of Hope (purses with toiletries) distrubution for homeless women and those in domestic violence situations and backpacks with winter warming items and toiletries for homeless indiiduals. Funds will also be use to support graduating seniors with scholarships.  In the past we have had Debutante Cotillion Balls after providing nine workshops for over 80 youth in the community who otherwise would not have had the experience.  We are all about supporting and uplifting those most in need.
