Hi! I'm Jen Schow and I love making crafty things. March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and I'm so excited to share the reason behind this awesome crafty raffle!

Porter Schow is my 8-year-old nephew. He lives in American Fork, Utah with his parents and sister. Porter was born with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy that inhibits his physical body from walking, talking, or moving on his own.

Even though Porter is severely disabled, that is NOT what defines him. Porter is a wonder and a delight to many people who have been lucky enough to interact with him, including me! His loving personality shines with a spirit that lights up every space he inhabits. He loves to be around people and his smile and long eyelashes melt hearts all over town, at school, and the doctor's office. Porter's family, teachers, therapists, nurses, bus drivers, hair-cut lady, and strangers off the street ALL feel his love and energy.

Porter's family is saving for a wheelchair van and an eye-gaze computer to help him communicate! I can't wait to see what my buddy has to say!
