Wife, mother, grandmother and friend Maria is 62 years old and was diagnosed with colon cancer this past August. For those of you who know her, you know that she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself.
She underwent surgery at the end of September to remove the cancer, which was successful. But, with further testing cancerous cells were detected. As a result, she will be having to undergo chemothearapy starting soon with the possibility of radition.
Because of this, she has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return until the Spring. Short term disability, unfortunately, does not provide full pay. Some of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter.
Maria is one of the strongest, most selfless people I have ever known and is always there to give her love and support or the shirt off her back to anyone that needs it.
Now, it's time that we send back some of that love and support to Maria. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated.
