We are excited to announce the first annual Windy City Baseball Holiday Wine Raffle. The raffle is a great way for all of us to have some fun as we close out 2020.  Below is a description of how the raffle will work. The raffle is not only a fundraiser for Windy City (proceeds will support new technology for the program), but a great way for everyone to win great prizes. For the raffle to work, we would like participation from everyone at all levels of the organization - 9U to 18U families and coaches. While it is not a requirement to participate, if everyone does it will be more fun and the prizes will be amazing!  


HOW THE RAFFLE WORKS


Each family/coach donates a minimum $15 bottle of wine to the organization. Each player is given 10 raffle tickets to sell or buy. Each ticket is priced at $10. Prizes will include gift baskets of wine (if everyone participates we should have about 4-5 baskets of 40/50 bottles of wine!!!) as well as some special prizes which we will announce. On December 20, raffle tickets will be drawn and prizes dispersed. Additionally, the player that sells the most raffle tickets will win a big prize!  


HOW TO PARTICIPATE


Wine Donation 

  • All families and coaches are encouraged to participate

  • Families that donate a bottle will receive a free ticket into raffle.

  • Wine donation, one bottle at a cost of $15 or less.

  • All donations must be labeled with your child’s name/age level (a post it note secured with tape is sufficient)

  • Please bring donations to Rosemont Dome lobby, a designated box will be at the front desk

  • Collection of wine donations will begin on Thursday, November 12

  • The last day to donate wine is Friday, December 11.



Raffle

  • Each player is asked to sell/buy 10 raffle tickets

  • Raffle tickets will cost $10 a ticket and sales will be virtual

  • Raffle prizes will be announced December 4

  • Raffle sales will begin November 22

  • The last day to purchase raffle tickets will be December 19. 

  • A special prize will be given to the player that sells the most raffle tickets.

  • The virtual raffle drawing will be December 20 (time and platform to be determined)
