The LEO Support Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 82-1401623) that was founded in 2017 by two full-time police officers with the goal of providing protective and life-saving equipment to police officers. As of February 2021 we have provided 889 tourniquets, packages of QuikClot, and tourniquet belt holders to departments in several U.S. States and a police K-9 Unit in France. We have also donated one ballistic vest and have made monetary donations to injured police officers.
Another mission of the LEO Support Foundation is to bring awareness to the issue of 1st Responder suicides and to provide resources to 1st Responders dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and substance abuse disorder. When we provide our medical kits to police officers, we also include an informational pamphlet with resources available to 1st Responders to assist in dealing with these issues.
In 2020 we also expanded our mission to include recognizing police officers who go above and beyond the call of duty, by presenting awards through the LEO Support Foundation. In 2020 we presented 33 awards, to officers from 11 departments, in 5 states across the U.S.
We are only able to accomplish these goals through the generosity of donors who make tax-deductible donations to our organization.
