Natalie Martinez is a Chicana & Indigenous poet, PhD, professor, art curator, and advocate who's struggling with an autoimmune illness and mounting medical bills.
In 2019, she was hospitalized with a large spinal lesion. She fell ill again this fall and was bedridden for months. She lost her apartment. After seeing multiple doctors at multiple hospitals, she was diagnosed with Dysautonomia/POTS, and a possible small fiber neuropathy from an unknown autoimmune disease.
Natalie says she's experiencing "Pain I can't describe and a new heart arrhythmia. I'm finally walking again...I'm tired of illness. I have have identities beyond it." She is a great friend, writer, artist, teacher--let's help Natalie with her medical expenses!
