Sacred Mountain Retreat Center (SMRC), just outside Deadwood in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota is a haven for Veterans and First Responders who are injured or suffering from PTSD or trauma, and Gold Star families. This retreat center is run solely on charitable donations and for the first time, SMRC is hosting a motorcycle raffle to help offset costs of healing our nation’s heroes.

Raffle tickets are being sold for a custom-painted, 2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse motorcycle. This bike has a liquid-cooled, V-Twin, 122HP motor, 6-piece fairing, Brembo brakes, Smart Lean technology, security system, touch screen and blue tooth ride command system. Custom artwork and graphics were done by Montana Artist Don Buerke.

President, Jerrid Geving will be taking a multi-state tour, starting on June 11, 2021 in Chicago, IL, with the custom bike, sharing about the programs at SMRC and selling raffle tickets. “The suicide rate in veterans and first responders is so high. By developing a retreat center, we are letting them come and decompress and learn that it’s okay to ask for help. They aren’t the only ones who are fighting and there are people out there who want to help,” Geving says about the retreat center," and we are hoping the sales of these raffle tickets can send many more veterans and first responders through the program.”

Tickets are available until 9pm MST on August 3rd, 2021. The winning ticket will be drawn during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Deadwood, SD and announced on August 10th, 2021. You do not have to be present to win. Winner is responsible for pick up or delivery of the motorcycle as well as all applicable taxes, titling, licensing, and insurance in accordance with state laws.

SMRC seeks to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s wounded. They are a catalyst for positive change in the lives of these heroes and help to eliminate the noise of everyday life. Healing is encouraged through exposure to nature, alternative healing methods, working with their hands and open communication with their brothers and sisters in arms. This motorcycle raffle is for a great cause, so Sacred Mountain Retreat Center encourages as many people as possible to participate and donate and be a part of the solution of helping our nations heroes.
