95252091_4336634739683896_1056491074970714112_n.jpg53.38 KB The Family Drive In was built by the Dalke family and opened in 1956. We still have the original screen, but it has seen better days. Every year we spend thousands of dollars to patch it up. Recently we have had several contractors come out and give us quotes on replacing the screen itself and the framing to which it is attached.
Due to the size and remediation expenses, we've been quoted a minimum of around $100,000 to restore the screen to it's full glory. In addition to our raffle, we will have some other fundraising opportunities, so be on the look out for those.
In 2021 and 2022, we raised around $11,650 total and hope to continue working towards our goal as we go into the 2023 season.
This is just step one in a multi-year process to restore and enhance The Family Drive In so it can stay around for another 65 years. Thank you for your continued support. We would not be here without you.
