Los Barriles resident Jairo Nairobi Fuentes Meza needs the help of our amazing and generous community. Jairo requires surgery to repair two herniated disks in his back. These are the L4-L5 and L5-S1, causing pain that radiates down the sciatic nerve. After a year from the initial back injury, during which time he has had on-going therapy and treatments, the herniated disks were discovered through a recent MRI. Jairo suffers from pain that has become so intense that he can no longer work, has limited movement, very little activity and the pain impacts him so severely he cannot sleep at night. At this time, Jairo’s wife Elide is the only one working and Jairo takes care of their new little 9-month-old baby. Their situation does not allow for additional money or resources to pay for the surgery.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? We are asking friends and family of the Los Barriles community, whether you are near or far, to purchase raffle tickets to help pay for Jairo’s surgery, medical expenses and recovery process. I will personally make sure the hospital is paid directly with the funds from this raffle and manage any additional funds for aftercare and medication. After careful budgeting with the hospital and surgery costs and other required expenses, we are estimating we need $5,500 USD.
