Noe Araiza, our well-known and beloved member of the Los Barriles community, Manager of Smokey’s Grill and Cantina, co-rescuer of the turtle release program of the East Cape, and the famous face at Palmas dock who greets the fishermen’s catches, weighs and records for processing at Smokey’s, was driving home on his motorcycle Wednesday, December 22 from work and was in a terrible accident and fractured his knee. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, December 29, 2021, and then months of recovery to include physical therapy 3 times a week in Cabo. He is expected to be out of work for 4 months, as well.
