THE RAFFLE'S BACK AND ITS BETTER THAN EVER, FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!

Howdy friends!  Last year's holiday raffle was such a hit that I've been anxiously awaiting the follow up....and I've cooked up some goodies to make this years event even better than the last one.  

If this is your first time participating, then you should probably know the reason behind this contest.  One of the most frequent things I hear from fans and followers is how they want one of my custom builds more than any other piece of gear on the market, but the price tag is just too steep for their wallet.  I sympathize with this plight, I was once a struggling picker who saved all my strings that weren't yet rusted for backups, and my inability to afford a killer guitar is the primary reason I started building them in the first place.  So, I decided that once a year, I was going to give all of those folks a chance to have a Banker of their own by raffling off one of my builds.  Tickets are $30 each, and the number of entries is capped at 500.  Those are better odds than you'll find just about anywhere, and the prizes this year are worth getting excited about.  That's because this year there is not just one, but TWO custom guitars in the prize pool!

Upon purchasing a ticket, an entry number will be assigned to your name by Raffle Creator.  I then upload all of the entrants to a spreadsheet, sort them randomly, and assign each entry an additional number that corresponds to one of 500 numbered balls that are placed in a tumbler, spun around, and pulled by hand just like they did at your grandmothers Bingo hall.  The drawing will be held December 15th at 7PM EST  live on Instagram, where you can tune in to see the lucky winners chosen.  If you cannot tune in live do not fret, winners will be notified via email the next day, and all prizes will be shipped before the end of the week.  In other words, you do not need to be present in order to win.  

*INTERNATIONAL CONTESTANTS:  This contest is open to anyone worldwide, however it has  been noted in the past that a handful of  international entrants experienced difficulty processing entry fees through Raffle Creator.  Unfortunately if you experience this issue, there is nothing I can do on my end to assist as all payment processing is handled by them.  

*DOMESTIC SHIPPING:  Shipping charges for winners in the continental US will be covered by Banker.

*INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: International shipping charges and associated taxes/duties will be the responsibility of the recipient.  If you live outside of the continental US and are a prize winner, I will collect your shipping information and provide a shipping quote via FedEx.  

*PRIZES OFFERED “AS IS”:  No changes, modifications, upgrades, or redemptions are allowed for any of the prizes in this contest.  Banker is not responsible for any personal liability or tax implications resulting from winning any of the listed prizes.

The Prizes

  • GRAND PRIZE: '58 EXCALIBUR "SIMPLE MAN" EDITION

    My homage to the guitar that started it all for me.  Some of my first memories of falling in love with the guitar and rock and roll lead directly to Lynyrd Skynyrd, specifically Allen Collins and his Gibson Korina Explorer.  To this day it remains my all time favorite guitar.  My standard '58 Spec Excalibur model has been given the Simple Man treatment with a vintage short vibrola and the rare teaspoon arm.  This guitar has a milled aluminum Faber ABR bridge, Custom wound PAF's from Throbak, vintage correct M69 pickup rings, CTS550k pots and cloth wiring, 4 ply white pickguard, Kluson Explorer tuning machines, Jescar 45100 nickel frets, an unbleached cattle bone nut, and comfortable '58 neck carve that tapers from .95 thickness at the first fret to .97 at the 12th.  Sitting right at 8lbs, this baby is lively and resonant, and ready to rip your favorite riffs.  Also included is a limited edition TKL hardcase, and free shipping anywhere in the US.  (International contestants will be required to cover shipping costs and customs charges if they are the chosen winner)

  • FIRST RUNNER UP: BANKER BIGSBY FULLERTON

    The vibe continues!  Our first runner up prize is a custom Banker Fullerton, a lightweight longleaf pine body and eastern rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard, finished in pure silver metallic nitrocellulose lacquer.  A custom celluloid tortoise pickguard ties the room together on this one, as well as a vintage Bigsby Telecaster bridge paired with a black anodized Bigsby B500 vibrato.  Equipped with OX4 Jimmy Page PAF pickups, CTS550k pots, Oak Grigsby 3 way switch, and deluxe Kluson tuning machines, this thing twangs and bangs.
