We have set a goal of raising $7500 which would be over 188 scholarship days for The Exceptional Foundation of Atlanta day program. A large part of our mission is to provide purpose and community to young adults with disabilities, regardless of ability to pay. 

It’s not easy being “exceptional”... and it only gets harder as we get older. To put it mildly, the opportunities for individuals with special needs who have graduated out of their local school system are embarrassingly inadequate. After high school, most people will live a life full of stimulating activities and social interactions which most would argue are essential to live a meaningful and satisfying life. For adults with special needs, however, the situation is oftentimes the exact opposite. The social and recreational activities that were once provided during school hours are now often non-existent, leaving no way to occupy their time in a meaningful way. The Exceptional Foundation of Atlanta provides a solution to this serious and continually growing problem. The mission of the Exceptional Foundation of Atlanta, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is to provide adults with disabilities an affordable, quality day to include health enhancing activities, intentional social interactions, and purposeful access to the community, regardless of ability to pay.
