This bourbon raffle, hosted by Chew Forks Farms, directly supports Hogs for the Cause, a New Orleans based 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides direct financial assistance to families with children undergoing treatment for pediatric cancers.

THE CAUSE
Hogs for the Cause is a top-funding source for pediatric cancer outreach services and a 2018 “Outstanding Foundation.” Hogs has gifted over $2.1 Million in direct grants to families battling pediatric cancer and another $7.3 Million to hospital programs and charities in the last 14 years.  

Hogs also partners with several hospitals to reach these families, including Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, where, in 2018, Hogs built the Hogs House, a 13-suite, on-campus housing complex.  In 2021 and 2022, Hogs for the Cause partnered with Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge to construct a 12-suite, extended-stay, on-campus facility for families receiving treatment. In 2023, Hogs for the Cause announced a $1 Million pledge to begin developing a new cancer unit at Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Greenville, SC. The grants provided and the extended-stay facilities being constructed by Hogs are aimed to reduce the financial, emotional, and physical stress for families.

One of the key components and contributors to fundraising for Hogs are the teams participating in Hogs for the Cause (the event), a 2-day music and food festival, fundraiser, and barbecue cookoff.  Our team, Chew Forks Farms, is an award-winning team that has been directly supporting Hogs since 2015.  Hogs for the Cause, both the charitable organization and the event, has grown from its humble beginnings as a local organization with regional impact to an organization impacting the lives of those battling pediatric cancer across the nation.  As a result, Hogs has garnered the attention of national publications like the New York Times and Forbes, and raised $3.6 Million in 2023.

Winner will be drawn on November 15, 2023.  Raffle closes at 9:00 PM CST on November 15, 2023.  Two grand prize winner will receive the prizes listed above.  Results will be posted to Chew Forks Farms Facebook and Instagram pages.  Must be 21 years of age or older at time of purchase to enter.  The winner must be able to pick up the grand prize or arrange for pick up from New Orleans, LA; Jackson, MS; or Lafayette, LA between November 15, 2023 and December 31, 2023.  We can NOT ship.  Winner will be notified by phone.  Please ensure your entry includes your phone number so we can notify the winner.  Raffle ticket sales are final.  No refunds.  Funds collected will cover our team's expenses to participate in Hogs for the Cause 2024, with any funds in excess of our operating budget being donated directly to Hogs for the Cause.
