Becky_Alzheimers_Purple_Updated_2-3.png227.06 KB Accelerate The Cure is a Traverse City non-profit entity devoted to helping the Alzheimer’s community in Northern Michigan as well as supporting research to Accelerate the Cure of Alzheimer’s. As the number of Alzheimer’s victims grow in our community there are more family and friends serving as Alzheimer’s caregivers than ever before. Our goal is to provide extra support to all those affected by this horrible disease.
Proceeds from this raffle create Scholarships for members of our community to obtain their Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA). We've met with several assisted living centers in our area and discovered all of them are in desperate need of skilled caregivers.
The Accelerate the Cure Scholarship program enables people in our community to attend the CNA training which increases their income and their value to those in need of care. Many people use their CNA licensing as a steppingstone to become a Licensed Pratical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
We're on the road to changing people's lives in the Alzheimer's community.
