Hi my name is Nancy Banks, I am starting this fundraiser for one my closest friends who recently encountered a hardship that will prevent she from paying her tuition and potentially keeping a legal status in the United States. My friend is an international student currently undergoing her first year of Masters in an American university. She got her bachelor degree from Minnesota States University Mankato in May of 2021. She has always been a brilliant student and has never had any issues with her tuition. However , everything changed when she had to move to another state to start her Masters degree . Just before the start of the semester, she encountered a complicated family matter. At first he thought that the situation will get fixed, but it escalated very quickly to an emergent state. The situation directly affected the source of income in her family. As a result, she has not been able to pay her tuition fees on time and hasn’t been able to register for classes for the upcoming spring semester. It is important to know that as an international student, she does not have access to any financial aid and cannot work outside of campus to make more money. she struggled to make ends meet throughout the semester with the little money she earned from her campus job.
Now, she has until the first week of the spring semester to pay her balance or otherwise she will not be able to go to school. Money is very tight right now: her family is trying to find money while trying to solve the previously stated problem. If she does not attend college, she will lose her legal status in the US and will potentially be deported back to her home country.
My friend has always been a good person, she has never done anything to deserve any of that. She has always been the first one to help those in need. Everyone who knows her can testify on how they have been touched by her kind heart. She is a bright student with a bright future. But right now she needs our help.
