I am reaching out to let you know that we are starting a campaign to help raise funds for Rene’s incurred medical bills. We need your help.
I have not made anyone aware beyond close family & friends until now that Rene has been recently diagnosed with a malignant lesion in his liver. Rene has been dealing with some medical issues for some time now. He was diagnosed with diabetes and hepatitis C in 2015. The insurance he had did not authorize medication to treat the hepatitis C due to high cost. Today, he has cirrhosis of the liver and now a cancerous mass. After many long thorough tests, procedures, and doctor visits, he’s completed the evaluation process and has been approved for the liver donor list.
Rene has always been a dedicated and hardworking man. He is giving of his time and resources to me, our family, and friends. He loves spending time with family and caring for those he can. Those who know Rene can attest to his kindness and helpfulness.
Rene’s journey to recovery is just beginning. There will be more tests, procedures and doctor visits. His insurance will not cover everything. There will be much out of pocket expenses.
