For more than 28 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County (BBBSLC) has been providing LOCAL children and youth facing adversity with strong, enduring, professionally supported one-on-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. There are currently over 50 children on our waiting list. Every dollar raised for BBBSLC by the Great BIG 50/50 Raffle goes to work immediately right here in Lorain County.

OFFICIAL RULES: About the Great BIG 50/50 Raffle...
By participating, you (an Entrant) agree that:
(1.) The Great BIG 50/50 Raffle (the Raffle) is a fundraiser conducted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County (BBBSLC), Ohio. By purchasing a ticket for the Raffle, each eligible Entrant represents that they meet all the below-stated eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by these Official Rules, all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations, and by the decisions of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County, an Ohio non-profit organization, or its authorized representative.
(2.) Entrant must be a legal resident of the State of Ohio and at least 18 years old at the time of entry. The Raffle is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
(3.) The Entrant that purchases the Raffle Ticket with the corresponding winning Raffle Ticket number (the Winner) receives Fifty Percent (50%) of the net proceeds (total collected by BBBSLC minus any related expenses from the Raffle Ticket sales) for the applicable Raffle Period (the Prize). The Winner is not permitted to donate their winnings to BBBSLC. All remaining proceeds of the Raffle are retained by BBBSLC.
(4.) All Raffle entrants must purchase their tickets online through the Raffle Creator website that is linked to the BBBSLC website and approved BBBSLC social media outlets. The secure system accepts all major credit cards. Entrants will receive an email confirmation regarding their ticket purchase and number.
(5.) All Raffle Ticket purchases must be made during the applicable Raffle Period. Tickets are not eligible to be entered into any past or future BBBSLC Raffle drawings.
(6.) BBBSLC employees are NOT eligible to enter the Raffle. Ticket sales are permitted to BBBSLC board members, committee members, volunteers, and family members of BBBSLC employees.
(7.) The winning Raffle Ticket will be chosen from an electronic random drawing of all qualifying ticket purchases on Friday, May 27, 2022.
(8.) The selected Raffle Ticket number will be announced and posted on the Raffle Website that can be accessed by going to the BBBSLC website at www.bigloraincounty.org.
(9.) To claim the prize, the Winner must contact BBBSLC and present email confirmation of the Winning Raffle Ticket within one month from the conclusion of the applicable Raffle Period. The initial email confirmation by BBBSLC/Raffle Creator ticket confirmation and number assignment is the only valid receipt for claiming the prize. The Winner must also provide BBBSLC with all information required to claim the prize including tax identification information, photo ID and proof of Ohio residency. If any of the required documentation is not submitted/completed within the stated time period, the Winner is deemed ineligible by BBBSLC. If the Winner refuses to accept or claim the Prize, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner and retained by BBBSLC. The Prize will be delivered via check within 30 days of the Winner delivering the winning Raffle Ticket and submitting the required documentation.
(10.) Each Entrant acknowledges that they have been informed that the IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of a Raffle Ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. The Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees, and other government assessments on the awarded Prize. Furthermore, the Winner acknowledges that federal law requires a tax withholding on certain prize values must be collected from them upon award or distribution. Federal and State withholding laws are subject to change without notice. A Winner of a prize over Six Hundred Dollars ($600) will receive a W-2G form from BBBSLC. Taxes will be withheld in accordance with IRS and State of Ohio guidelines.
(11.) Raffle Tickets may not be resold to any other party. Any Raffle Ticket which has been resold is void.
(12.) Raffle entrance and/or Prize acceptance constitutes a release granting BBBSLC the right to use the Entrant's name, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state of residence for advertising, marketing and public relations purposes on a world-wide basis (without review by the applicable Entrant) and in all forms of media, without compensation, remuneration, or other authorization. BBBSLC expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability in conjunction with injury or loss to any person or property relating to redemption of the Prize. BBBSLC makes no representations or warranties in connection with the Prize. Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply. Each Entrant hereby releases and waives any claims (actual or alleged), demands, damages, losses, liabilities and causes of action arising from (in whole or in part) or in connection with BBBSLC's use of (or designee's use) of such Entrant's names, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state of residence, including, without limitation, any claims of defamation, libel, invasion of property, publicity, personality or exploitation of such Entrant's name or likeness.
(13.) BBBSLC may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individual who violates these Official Rules, or tampers or attempts to tamper with the operation of the Raffle, re-sells a Raffle Ticket, or acts in a disruptive manner to damage the integrity of the Raffle.
