Approximately 7 years ago, a young gentleman, Medard Melinkan, had a vision to start a cashew farm to provide jobs and resources to his community. Since this time, he has been dedicated to this vision; and with the help of many generous people he has brought it to life. His efforts have brought fresh water to the community. This simple resource many of us take for granted has allowed Medard to grow his farm to include a garden, farm animals, and mango trees. He has a water tower built to store water. On sunny days he uses the solar powered pump to fill the two water tanks. We are currently in the last phase of the project. To help raise funds, we are raffling off a beautiful hand crocheted mermaids tail blanket, compliments of Cat Willoughby of Mansfield, TX.
